The fine print on submissions: PLEASE READ

 

THE BILL MURRAY ART SHOW AND OR THE MURRAY AFFAIR " - Unofficial Art Show Artist Rules : This is a private fan-based art show, that has no bearing on anyone living or deceased and shall contain only derivative works. This is to be read and understood by all artists submitting or participating in this art show. All artist must adhere to the rules or they will not be accepted. *Disclaimer: All rules contained herein are subject to revision. The Art Show Directors (Ezra Croft, Julia Croft) are the final arbiter on any modifications, exceptions, extensions or exclusions to these rules.

A. RULES FOR THE ARTIST

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE ORIGINAL WORK BY THE ARTIST. This includes computer art or photographs; a print of original work is acceptable. If a piece was created by a collaboration of artists, that piece may be entered by any of the collaborators. Artist retain their own rights over said art.

B. The Curators and art show organizers reserve all rights to reject any piece of art for any reason.

AFTER THE SHOW IS OVER, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE TO REMOVE YOUR ART FROM THE VENUE IF YOU ARE IN ATTENDANCE. WE WILL NOT TRANSPORT ANY ART UNLESS PREVIOUSLY ARRANGED. (See Final Thoughs on our Submission Guidelines page)

If you sell any art through this show, you must agree to allow us to conduct any transaction between you and the buyer. Any failure or attempt to do so will have your piece removed from the show and it will also piss us off. While this is a service we provide, we are under no obligation to do so, furthermore, we will make every attempt in good faith to conduct good business practice and forward all funds earned from any art sale, minus the commission (15%), but are not legally bound to do so and by participating in this art show, you acknowledge that and willingly waive all precedence towards legal action to enforce this. In Recap, we will pay you out if you sell art work, BUT if you, through lack of communication, neglect to provide us with information on who you are prior to the event, then you only complicate things and we are not bound by any time frame to accommodate any payment for sold art work. You must provide us with basic contact info, including Name, phone number or Email and must agree to accept cash or paypal as payment for any sale of any art at the show transpiring on the premises.

C. Each work of art belongs to the individual artist. The actor Bill Murray(C)(TM) has no affiliation with said art show whatsoever. Each artist's work, as depicted, shall be representative of the artist, and event, therefore shall not infringe on any current trademarks or copyrights.

• Any work of art sold at the show will remain on premises until 12:45am the night of the event. The buyer or artist must remove the work that night, no exception. Any work left behind is subject to removal as the venue sees fit, which may be kept or discarded. We (and the Syrup Loft) are not liable for any loss, damage or theft of any work left behind.

D. By Submitting art into this show you acknowledge that you understand these rules and agree that any infringement upon trademarked, copyrighted or protected works, property or imagery will be your (the submitting artist's) sole responsibility and waive all responsibility of any infringement from the proprietors of the the art show and the hosting venue. JUST DONT USE COPYRIGHTED STUFF. Photomanipulation, photoshopping, making a collage or other means of replicating an image cannot use copyrighted material and may not be featured in the show if they are deemed to be doing so. Make original works. Failure to read and acknowledge these terms and conditions is not an excuse to violate them. This is not an official Bill Murray sanctioned event and has no association with Bill Murray. It is only a dirivitave based art show and intends only to portray Bill Murray in a positive light.
