Story of the Running Wolf
Story of the Running Wolf is a synthpop adventure into the darker side of neon. Blending 80's influences like Depeche Mode and Duran Duran with high energy dance tracks, the LA-based duo has created a live show which has been described as a "John Hughes party on Neptune", replete with lasers, makeup, fog and feathers. But just beneath the visual extravaganza beats the heart of SOTRW, where the spectacle never outshines the music. Their single and accompanying music video "Stratospheric" is out now.

Magnastic

Ukulele, hip hop, and guitar shredding mix well together... and along comes the evolved beats of Magnastic. These guys truly possess their own sound, combining a humorous element to their incredible playing skills.

Influences like Tenacious D, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beck, Dr. Dre, Busta Ryhmes, Primus, friends and lovers, have all had a hand in their sound. Now they have reached a level of music that is at the point of de-labelization.
The band formed in high school but had a rough start, as the original five members parted ways after a period of individual hardships occurred (Rehab). Jeff and Byron were able to reconvene after a few years to formulate their musical ideas and talents into what they wanted to be, “perfect for us and our friends, something people all over can give a listen to. Kind of like a sort of underground musical ceremony.”
Soon they were joined by the amazing rhythm section of Matt Barreca (drums) and Matt Shlapak (bass and keys). With the addition of the '2 Mathew's with nothing to lose' they set out on recording their debut album "Pontiac Man" in March 2013.
Magnastic's live show is driven purely on 'Entertainment' and is an experience unlike any other. Expect a set dripping with dirty dancing, ridiculous solos, cardboard cutouts, porn raffles, and more.

LESTER RAW'S GRAVESIDE QUARTET

Lester T. Raww and his Pine Box Boy cohorts - Possum Carvidi, Col. Timothy Leather, and Uncle Dodds - have created a new band and a new sound to celebrate their fascination with things morbid. This doesn't mean that there will be no more Pine Box Boys. Quite the contrary. Now it means they can open up for themselves.

While the themes are similar, The Graveside Quartet picks up where "Tales From The Emancipated Head" left off, leaving the Pine Box Boys free to continue hootin' and hollerin' their way through Lester's murder ballads. The Graveside Quartet steers clear of the country vibe, dubiously replacing the banjo with an accordion.

Actually, let's look at the evolution of the two frontmen for both bands, Possum and Lester. Lester has set his Martin aside and picked up the ukulele. Possum - and I'm sure this makes his mother proud - performs on the accordion and musical saw. The change in sound may make the band more palatable for those who utterly reject the Pine Box Boys' more countrified setting, but the GSQ will certainly entertain the morbid sensibilities of the PBB fan base.

They are currently recording their first album, "Lester Raww Sings Your Children To Sleep."
